The Animal Donation Program was designed to assist individuals and families who are victims of  prolonged drought or loss of livestock. We have set up a program to provide nutritional assistance to the most needy in Maasailand.  We work closely with Simon from the Energy Center in the heart of Olosho-Oibor Village.  He visits homes regularly and assesses the needs of families in the community.  We then pick the families with the most immediate needs to receive goats and/or chickens.  It is the “gift that keeps on giving,” according to the Maasai.  With one goat and a few chickens, a family can survive on the daily milk and eggs that the animals provide them.
