Sarah is 1 of 16 children from 3 wives. They all live together in a Boma (traditional Maasai compound where each wife has their own home, but they live/raise their families together).  The families are very needy but want their children in school so they can receive food on a daily basis.  One of the wives told us through an interpreter that they want their kids to be, “learn-ed,” so that they might have an easier life than they have had.  But they also express a fear of never seeing their children again if they do become, “learn-ed.”  Sarah is a sweet girl with strong skills in drawing, encouraging others, and working hard helping around home.
